What subject do you like at school? Essay “What school subjects do I like?”

I do well at school and usually get high marks in all subjects. And yet my favorite school subjects are literature and Russian language. I learned to read before school and since then I have read a lot of interesting and fascinating books. Of course, what I love most is adventure and fantasy, but I also have time for classic literature.
It’s usually easy for me to answer in class because most of the works I’m studying are already familiar to me. I read equally well in both Russian and Ukrainian, but Russian is still closer to me, because everyone in my family speaks Russian. But writing beautifully and without mistakes is not so difficult. The main thing is to be careful and not rush to write without thinking.

Essay Drawing is my favorite school subject

I am often asked: “What is your favorite lesson at school?”, and I proudly answer – art lesson!

You may think that this is an answer for the sake of an answer or simply that I don’t like studying, but this is far from the case. I like art classes because it gives me freedom. During a drawing lesson, I am not taught rules, laws, I am taught to express myself. Self-expression is freedom.

The teacher talks about art history in class. About what styles there were in different eras. We will also learn about great artists, including Russian ones. The teacher brings copies of their work to class. Looking at the paintings of great artists, the motivation to create, the desire to paint appears. We are taught to draw with pencil, watercolor, and gouache. Personally, I prefer gouache, because the paintings turn out bright and memorable. We also learn how to sculpt from plasticine. It's very interesting when you can sculpt an animal or a character from your favorite cartoon out of a sticky lump.

But most often we paint with paints. The teacher gives us various topics for drawings. For example, it could be the Olympic Games of Ancient Greece, or a house in the style of the future, or the nature of the native land. I like drawing animals most of all. This could be my cat, who is playing with her toy, or a wolf, who is hunting in the wild, or birds, who have flown from their wintering grounds to their birdhouses.

My favorite lesson was when we drew with pencils on a free topic. As usual, not knowing where to start, I stared out the window. Outside the window was “Golden Autumn”. And suddenly it dawned on me that I need to paint autumn. The trees turned out to be very beautiful, with leaves of all possible colors: green, yellow, red. The picture looked something like this: a birch alley, painted with people resting on benches and birds, which, apparently, were preparing to fly. The teacher gave me an A for this drawing. At home I showed it to my parents, and they also praised it and offered to hang it on the refrigerator, but I did not agree. I decided to do something different. I bought a special picture frame and hung this picture on the wall in my room. Later, the entire wall was covered with my “creations.”

The drawing lesson was created not only to fill the hours of the school curriculum. It helps you realize yourself, express your thoughts and emotions on paper.

I always really loved reading books, I couldn’t tear myself away from them. I was able to completely immerse myself in the story, to go where the heroes were. I was happy and sad with them. So tasks like: “Read a book” are a joy for me. Literature lessons teach a lot of interesting things. You can listen and not notice how the lesson has flown by. I have always been interested in writers and poets. I admire these people. They write such interesting books! Such wonderful poems! Words can't describe it. I really like to reason. Look for hidden meaning in books. And this is exactly what I can do in literature lessons. And I get pleasure and appreciation. Perfect.

  16. I love geometry most of all. I hate chemistry and geography. The most disgusting teachers...

Among all the school subjects, I like English the most. In elementary school, learning a foreign language seemed like a difficult and impossible process for me. Other letters, other words, at first it was difficult to learn to read.

But after some time of persistent effort, I began to be able to do it better and even like it. I try to listen carefully to the teacher in class, do homework, read and translate texts. I look for a lot of words that are unknown to me in the dictionary.

Our teacher explains all the material to us in detail, tells us interesting information, questions us and corrects mistakes. Sometimes we learn poems, riddles, and short texts in English by heart. In my classes, I get, in most cases, good grades, but sometimes there are difficulties in studying some topics, but I try.

Meaning of English (andwhy English)

Learning foreign languages (especially English), despite the complexity of this process, is very important for the future of each of us.

So, why do we need to know English? And why is it taught in schools? There are many answers to these questions, in particular:

  • traveling around the world, in any country you will be understood if you speak English, at least partially.
  • you can communicate with different interesting people, in particular with foreigners who have come to your country.
  • When looking for a job, knowledge of English is a big plus, especially when it comes to business, science, etc., and in some cases it is an integral component of employment.
  • and finally, many interesting magazines, fiction or scientific books, films, television programs - all in English.

Besides English, I also like subjects such as biology, geography and social studies. I am interested in listening to the teacher's story, reading textbooks on these subjects, going on excursions and learning a lot of new things. But despite this, I consider English an important and necessary subject for me. However, each of us has our own preferences and choices, each has our own favorite school subject.

Boys and girls attending school spend most of their time within the walls of the educational institution. Therefore, the topic of the essay “My favorite subject” is very relevant. It will not be difficult for students to write such a work, because even first-graders can clearly talk about which lesson they like the most among all.

Essay plan

To make it easier for boys and girls to complete the task, a detailed plan should be drawn up for them. This will help children clearly understand in what sequence to write the argument and what to focus on. The standard outline for the essay “My Favorite Subject” is as follows:

This plan for an essay on the topic “My favorite subject” will allow boys and girls to reveal the facets and their inner world. If you wish, you can detail the plan by making subparagraphs in each section.

Essay “My Favorite Subject” for elementary grades

Children studying in first, second and third grades are just beginning their journey into the world of knowledge. Nevertheless, writing the essay “My favorite school subject” will not be difficult for them. After all, even in the first years it becomes clear which sciences the child strives for most. As an example, you can take this essay “My favorite subject”:

I am in second grade and I want to say that in two years I have learned a lot of interesting and new things. Basically, all subjects are taught by our class teacher, whose name is Olga Sergeevna. She is very good and treats each of us fairly.

I like almost all the lessons, and most of all nature studies. This subject is so interesting that I always read ahead to know what the next topic is. I like the subject because during it Olga Sergeevna often takes us outside, showing us the topic of the lesson live, and not from a textbook. In natural history, the teacher tells us about the different seasons, how nature changes, and also about animals. We are often given creative assignments in this subject. For example, find leaves or conduct some experiments.

I don’t know why, but it seems to me that when I grow up, I will definitely connect my life with nature. Perhaps I will study different parts of the globe, or maybe I will simply buy a private house and begin to plant trees and flowers, watching them grow. Thanks to Olga Sergeevna for instilling in us a love for the world around us.

This kind of discussion about your favorite subject at school is quite suitable for first grade students. Therefore, it is worth taking note of the structure and essence of the essay.

Essay on the topic “My favorite school subject” for middle grades

When children enter fifth grade, their school life becomes more eventful. Almost every subject is taught by different teachers. Many new and interesting subjects appear that give new knowledge. Therefore, the essay “My Favorite Subject” for students over the fifth grade opens up wider opportunities. As an example, you can take this line of reasoning:

I am in the sixth grade and I will say that I like to run from class to class and study with different teachers. This makes it possible to understand how different teachers and subjects are, and also to understand what knowledge is the most interesting.

Personally, my favorite subject is geography. I often watch programs about travel, and on this subject you can clearly understand where and what country is located. We also have a very good teacher, whose name is Ekaterina Ignatievna. She is an adult woman and when she talks about something, it seems that Ekaterina Ignatievna has visited every country that is on the world map. And she organizes the lesson in such a way that each of us is immersed in her fascinating stories. Thanks to Ekaterina Ignatievna, I realized which countries I definitely want to visit.

Of course, I like many subjects; I am also interested in literature, physics and mathematics. But I have a special relationship with geography, probably thanks to the wisdom and imagination of our beloved teacher.

This reasoning is suitable for schoolchildren who are older than the fifth grade. The most important thing is that the information is written from the heart, with emotions.

Short essay about your favorite subject

Not every child likes to express his thoughts in detail. For a topic like “My Favorite Subject,” a short essay would be fine. As an example, you can take this option:

I love school, here I learn a lot of new and interesting things. I also meet my friends and have fun.

What I like most is physical education. This subject is the easiest and most difficult at the same time. But since I love sports, this is the most anticipated lesson for me. During physical education, my friends Petya and Nikita and I play football, if the class is outside. If the lesson takes place in the gym, then our favorite game is basketball.

Sport is a must in every person's life. But other subjects are also important, because thanks to them you can become a smart and successful businessman after leaving school.

Such an essay is written in the correct order and fully conveys important information.

Extended essay

Creative children who have a talent for writing various essays can pay attention to detailed reasoning. As an example, you can take this option:

I can't imagine my life without school. After all, here I have favorite teachers, lessons and many friends with whom I never get bored. I like many lessons because each of them is interesting in its own way. But still there is a subject that attracts my most attention.

I just love mathematics and geometry. In these lessons, everything is not simple, but I have fun solving the most complex puzzles of these subjects, finding the correct answers. It’s hard for me to say what exactly I like more about mathematics, I enjoy solving equations, and I also like problems. I am also very pleased when my classmates consult with me regarding solving assignments in this subject. I immediately begin to realize that everyone around me understands how much I enjoy this lesson and knows about my knowledge of it. Alla Ivanovna, our mathematics and geometry teacher, always uses my work as an example, both at home and on tests. I am not an excellent student, and it can be difficult for me to understand other subjects. But that feeling when you realize that your efforts and interest in the lesson are not in vain is simply overwhelming with emotions.

Without exception, all subjects cannot be given easily; everyone has their own favorite lesson. But what comes easiest is worth paying attention to, perhaps this is a calling in the future.

The teacher will primarily evaluate the content. Of course, literacy is also important, but the most important thing is that boys and girls write essays sincerely, putting a piece of their soul into every line. Then the assessment will be appropriate.
